Photography
These portrait weavings were created by students in fourth grade who worked with a teaching artist from the Museum of Photographic Arts. The students worked in pairs and photographed each other using digital cameras. The partner pairs took turns being the subject and the photographer, and each subject sat for two shots. Once processed, the students cut and wove together the two 8X10 black and white portraits. Some students chose to cut irregular strips while others used a more linear approach.
